Wednesday 20th March
Ruby Lane Café
Surfing is dependent on a healthy thriving ocean but each year, almost a million surfboards are produced globally, typically with a foam core, and finished with various coatings of fibreglass and polyester or epoxy resins.
These oil-based materials emit harmful fumes from volatile organic compounds and the resulting products can take a millennia to break down in landfill.
Are you a surfer or a shaper keen to reduce your board’s impact on the health of the ocean?
Join us to learn about sustainability in the surf industry and what to look for in your next board. Light refreshments included.
This event is being held in partnership with Surfing NSW and is part of the 2019 Vissla Sydney Surf Pro. Light refreshments included.
